Today we introduced "Play Plans" to the class. A play plan is an opportunity for each student to draw a picture of what they will be doing at choice time as well as write that plan in a sentence. We began by introducing the template to the students. We then practiced writing our names (on the name line!) and drawing a picture of ourselves in the center that we chose to work in. In coming weeks, we will begin helping the students use their letter sounds to begin writing their own plans.
Play plans can be a helpful way to begin a conversation with your child if they can't remember what they did at school that day. You can ask, "What was your play plan?"
