Every two years, we are re-evaluated by an agency called Qualistar. A part of this rating is given by the families via Parent Surveys. Please take a few moments to fill out the survey! Below are instructions (and hints! I know we're all new to each other this year!)
Thank you so much for taking the time to fill out the Qualistar survey! You can access it here:
Go To: https://qrs.qualistarweb.org/ratingpacket/familylogin (cut and paste this into your browser)
Choose: Denver Public Schools Denver Green School
Access Code: 768
In the past, the feedback from families has been that it’s too early for a survey- we all just met! So to give you a bit more information (and help reduce the scavenger hunt) we are happy to provide the following “helpful hints page.”
Question 1:
Daily Schedule: This can be found on the website, at dgsece.weebly.com/calendar.html
Philosophy: This can be found on the website, at dgsece.weebly.com/about-contact.html
Questions 2, 3, 4:
Resources for this can be found on the website, at dgsece.weebly.com/useful-links.html
Question 5: How often does your child’s program offer opportunities for you to meet other families in the program and get to know staff?
The list of the yearly events can be found at dgsece.weebly.com (Once a month!)
Question 6: My child’s program keeps me updated on my child’s activities, interests, and behaviors
This information can be found at dgsece.weebly.com and at during conversations at pick-up with teachers.
Question 7: How often does your child’s program share information with you about how your child is developing and what your child is learning, either in written form or at a parent conference?
This information can be found at dgsece.weebly.com.
Conferences are held twice a year, with 3 yearly reports sent home.
Question 8: There are opportunities for families to have a voice in program decision making and planning.
Parents are invited in the Spring to help with hiring (for the whole school), and well as answer questions posted in the blog (and respond to blog entries!)
Question 9: How often does someone from your child’s program ask you about your child’s activities, interests, and behaviors at home?
These questions are asked officially at parent-teacher conferences, but we hope parents let us know about what is going on at home throughout the year through connections to blog entries on the website, emails, or conversations with teachers during drop-off and pick-up.
Question 10: The program offers a variety of opportunities for me to participate in the program
The parent volunteer sign up will be available beginning October 1st (We appreciate the first 6 weeks of school getting our routines down first!) There are always opportunities for parents to volunteer through the PTA and on the farm.
Questions 11-14 are more about your personal feelings- please let me know if you have any questions at all.
When you complete the survey, please email me ASAP to let me know you have finished it. (We need 90% completed before October 1st).
