It sounded so much more fun than a bear hunt!
Today we visited Sprout City Farms- located conveniently behind our swings on the playground- to hunt for bugs.

A note from the Farm:
Come participate at the Denver Green School Community Farm!
Regular volunteer days:
Every Friday and Saturday, 10am-12pm, April 15-Oct 28. The whole family is welcome to come help with whatever's going on in the field!
CSA Food Shares:
It's like pre-paid grocery shopping, all summer and fall! Buy a share in the farm and come once a week, every week throughout the season, to get a portion of what's harvested! Shares of farm-fresh veggies, herbs, and flowers are $425 (about $20/week), and extra options from other local farms for eggs, fruit, meat, bread, mushrooms, coffee and tea are also available: check out Sprout City Farms' website for more info and to sign up.
Support the Farm Stand (starting in August):
Every Wednesday from the start of school to Halloween, 6th graders help run a Farm Stand in the school parking lot featuring fresh veggies, herbs, and flowers from our farm, plus fruit and eggs from other local farms. SNAP purchases are doubled in value, and we keep prices reasonable and accessible to all!
Please get in touch with Farmer Meg (720-319-8126; [email protected]) if you have any questions or input regarding the farm and its programs!
