It's that time of year- paper snowflakes are here. Ms. Pattison came in for art today and helped everyone create their own snowflake to take home. Cutting snowflakes is not only great for developing fine motor skills, but also for following multi-step directions (all those folds!), as well as shape recognition and descriptions- "Is that a big triangle? Is it fat or skinny? What shape does it make when you open your paper?"
We also love that no two snowflakes are ever the same- there's lots of room for creativity!
